XRB 2 is a 4th generation E4 radial OTR tire pattern developed by XTHRA for application in dumpers and similar equipment.
Application : Rigid dumpers and similar equipment running at open-pit mining sites.
Characteristics : Specifically designed to fit 29.00/6.0 rims on older versions of 220 tonne dumpers; Cut and wear resistance through an opened pattern for optimized heat dissipation; Centered opened bracket blocks for perfect conformation over irregular roads; Reinforced shoulders for improved stability and load distribution.

OTR tires are an important part on any company's operational budget.
A clear and well defined maintenance program is essential for obtaining the best tire performance.
Herein we make some important reminders concerning tire maintenance:
Inflation Pressure:
Under inflation generates heat, leading to early tire failure through tread pattern separation; cable and cord fatigue accelerates leading to internal liner and external sidewall ruptures. Treadwear becomes uneven causing cracks and consequently, infiltration. Rim displacement is also another consequence developing to air leaks on tubeless tires;
Over inflation increases mid-pattern ground contact causing uneven pattern wearing process; it reduces tyre capacity to absorb irregular road and impacts against physical obstacles ending to a much exposed pattern center subjected to cuts and sudden rupture. Bead suffers excess pressure increasing localized targetted forces against traction, with a potential risk for permanent damage and burts;
Overload Consequences:
Overloading will considerably shorten tire life through heat generation, abnormal tire deflection and cord tension, excessive bead movement; all leading to cracks and ruptures caused by dangerous carcass stress;
Road Maintenance:
Road surface is one of the most important factors determining a tire performance. Bumping spots, holes, rocks, debris and all physical obstacles cut, excessively wear and even burst tires. Important attention shall also be paid to cleaning loading and dumping areas, reflecting directly on performance and productivity.
